World Travel Awards touches down in Vietnam for Grand Final 2017

World Travel Awards, the hospitality industry’s leading awards programme, is preparing to welcome the elite of global hospitality to Vietnam for its Grand Final 2017.

The red-carpet event will take place the evening of Sunday, December 10th, alongside the World Spa Awards, at the glamorous JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay – with hundreds of industry leaders from across the region and around the world in attendance.

World Travel Awards founder, Graham Cooke, said: “This is the final stage of our Grand Tour 2017.

“We have toured the world during our seven regional Gala Ceremonies, and now we welcome the pinnacle of international hospitality to Vietnam to compete for the global titles.

“With just a few short days to go until the event, we are putting the finishing touches in place and I look forward to greeting our guests on Sunday at the fabulous JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay for what, I know, will be a night to remember.”

Enviably situated on the pristine island of Phu Quoc, JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay is a hidden gem off Vietnam’s south coast.

Famed architect Bill Bensley has designed the resort to pay homage to the fictional historic Lamarck University, with a whimsical ambiance that is utterly unique.

“We are extremely proud and honoured to host both the 24th annual World Travel Awards Grand Final and the third annual World Spa Awards at the incredible JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay,” said Ty Collins, general manager at JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay.

“A lush resort that is a destination unto itself, JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay embodies the academic narrative across its enriching experiences of true luxury.

“As a host of the two prestigious events, we look forward to celebrating the pinnacle of the both the global tourism and spa industry during a spectacular Gala Ceremony event at our hotel resort.”

World Travel Awards was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry.

Today, the World Travel Awards brand is recognised globally as the ultimate hallmark of quality, with winners setting the benchmark to which all others aspire.

Each year World Travel Awards covers the globe with a series of regional gala ceremonies staged to recognise and celebrate individual and collective successes within each key geographical region.

World Travel Awards Gala Ceremonies are widely regarded as the best networking opportunities in the travel industry, attended by government and industry leaders, luminaries, and international print and broadcast media.
